The Houston Astros are on to the ALCS after sweeping the Cleveland Indians with an ALDS Game 3 win on Monday. Houston will play the winner of the Yankees-Red Sox series.
Cleveland held the lead for much of the game on Monday, but Marwin Gonzalez delivered the big blow with a two-RBI double in the top of the 7th off Trevor Bauer to give the Astros a 4-2 lead.
George Springer would hit solo homeruns in both the 5th & 8th innings. The Astros would tack on to their lead with a Marwin Gonzalez 8th inning RBI to make it 6-2 Astros. Bregman would score on a wild pitch, before Carlos Correa would smack a three-run bomb to right field to make it 10-2 Astros.
Winning going away, the Astros bats weren’t done yet as Bregman knocked in Kemp in the 9th to make it 11-2.
