The Houston Astros officially announced a two-year, $66 million extension with Justin Verlander on Sunday morning.
"My teammates, the locker room," Verlander said on Sunday, "that's a major reason why I wanted this extension here to continue to be a part of this, to continue this legacy here in Houston, with the best organization in baseball, the best team in baseball, and hopefully we can come away with a championship or two more in my time here."
