Cordell Woodland, host of Shakin It Up Sports on 105.7 The Fan in Baltimore, joins The Matt Thomas Show to preview the Houston Texans traveling to Baltimore to take on the Ravens in the AFC Divisional playoff.
Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson is the front-runner for MVP, and Woodland says he is a more well-rounded player working with the best receiving core he's ever had. "He really wants to beat teams with his arm," as well as the run, "but we've seen Lamar do a lot with less in the past."
The Ravens defense is also one of the best in the league, led by linebacker Roquan Smith and aided by veteran Jadeveon Clowney, but "their Achilles heel is their run defense."
Woodland has high praise for Texans quarterback C.J. Stroud. His play is "uncharacteristic for a rookie quarterback."
