Framber Valdez gave up a grand slam in the fifth inning to Trent Grisham. Before Valdez delivered the pitcher, catcher Cesar Salazar tried to get Valdez to step off the mound and reset.
Valdez threw the pitch anyway, which resulted in a grand slam and gave the Yankees a 6-0 lead.
In the next at-bat, Valdez threw a pitch into the chest of Salazar that looked to get away. Valdez insisted after the game that it was accidental.
Both he and Salazar were called into the manager’s office after the game and Valdez said he apologized to Salazar.
Both players insist that it was a misunderstanding. Do you think Framber intentionally crossed up Salazar?
