According to Shams Charania of Yahoo! Sports, Carmelo Anthony has verbally agreed to sign a contract with the Houston Rockets. He has been expected to sign with the team since July 23rd but has been abroad as part of the NBA's Basketball Without Borders program in Africa. Anthony averaged 16.2 points per game with the Oklahoma City Thunder last season.
