James Harden needed a late three to reach 30 points for the 25th consecutive game.
Kenneth Faried scored 23 points, Chris Paul has 20 points and Eric Gordon scored 17 points. Houston shot 53% from the field but Denver topped that by shooting 62%.
The Rockets fell to 29-22 on the season and will play at the Utah Jazz Saturday night. Tip-off is slated for 8:00pm CT.
