Harden Drops 58 in Comeback Win Over Heat

In game two of a back-to-back, the Houston Rockets had an injury filled lineup against the Miami Heat. Kenneth Faried, Iman Shumpert and Eric Gordon were all sidelined with injuries. Cue James Harden. Harden went off for 58 points and 10 assists in a 121-118 victory Thursday night at Toyota Center.

The Rockets saw themselves down by 21 points at one point but with The Beard clicking on all cylinders, Houston powered back. Harden's 58 points are the most ever scored against Miami.

Austin Rivers came up huge with 17 points off the bench and rookie Gary Clark scored a career high 14 points, starting in place of Gordon. Chris Paul knocked down a clutch mid-range jumper to extend the Rockets lead to three with :45 seconds left in the game, which eventually iced the victory. Paul chipped in 14 points.

Houston shot 49% from the field and 41% from three point land. With the win, the team improves to 37-25 on the season and will travel to Boston to take on the Celtics Sunday afternoon at 2:30pm CT.
