For the first time since 2007, there will be a Biggio in the big leagues. Cavan Biggio, son of former Houston Astro Craig Biggio, is being called up to the majors for the first time.
He will start Friday night for the Toronto Blue Jays and will play second base. He was hitting .306 in Triple-A Buffalo this season.
He will join another son of a big leaguer in Vlad Guerrero Jr. as well as Lourdes Gurriel, brother of Astros first baseman Yuli Gurriel.
