According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the New England Patriots have filed tampering charges against the Houston Texans. The crux of the matter seems to be the Texans' attempt to hire the Patriots' director of player personnel, Nick Caserio. Last Friday, the Texans announced the firing of GM Brian Gaine who was less than 2 years into a 5 year contract, and the presumption was that Caserio is the Texans' number one choice for a replacement.
Schefter reports that the NFL will now gather relevant information and launch an investigation on the matter.
