Astros Drop Spring Training Opener 6-1 vs Marlins

The Astros fell to the Miami Marlins 6-1 in their Spring Training opener at the Ballpark of the Palm Beaches in West Palm Beach.

Sunday’s game marked the first time that the Astros played in front of fans since they hosted the Nationals on Mar. 11, 2020. Sunday's attendance was 1,569. All available tickets were sold.

Jason Castro and Myles Straw each had two hits in Sunday’s game.

The Astros will resume Spring Training when they take on the Washington Nationals on Monday afternoon at 12:05 p.m. CT. The Nats will be the home team. RHP Nivaldo Rodriguez will start for Houston. The game will be aired on SportsTalk 790.
