It's here people!!! A long winter is over and it's time to make a bunch of silly predictions that will probably be wrong.
AL WEST:
- Houston Astros
- Oakland A's
- Los Angeles Angels
- Seattle Mariners
- Texas Rangers
AL West Thoughts: In a 162 game season, the cream always rises to the top and that is what we will see in the division again. The Astros have the best overall roster again in the division and that should lead to another division crown.
AL CENTRAL:
- Chicago White Sox
- Minnesota Twins
- Cleveland Indians
- Kansas City Royals
- Detroit Tigers
AL Central Thoughts: The White Sox suffered a blow recently with the loss of Eloy Jimenez, but I still think they end up winning the division this year. They had a great winter and the roster is really loaded. A lot of people still like the Twins, but I am not one of those people this year. I think this division only produces one playoff team.
AL EAST:
- New York Yankees
- Toronto Blue Jays
- Tampa Bay Rays
- Boston Red Sox
- Baltimore Orioles
AL East Thoughts: This is the Yankees division to lose, despite it being a really deep division. The Yankees will be really good obviously, but I think they have gotten way too much love leading up to this season. There is not much difference in this team versus any of their other recent teams that typically flame out. I'm buying the hype of the Blue Jays and I think the Rays are going to end up being a wild card team too.
AL WILD CARDS: Toronto Blue Jays, Tampa Bay Rays
NL WEST:
- Los Angeles Dodgers
- San Diego Padres
- Arizona Diamondbacks
- San Francisco Giants
- Colorado Rockies
NL West Thoughts: The battle between the Dodgers and Padres should be a lot of fun and I think the Dodgers will end up keeping their streak of division title wins going.
NL CENTRAL:
- St. Louis Cardinals
- Chicago Cubs
- Milwaukee Brewers
- Cincinnati Reds
- Pittsburgh Pirates
NL Central Thoughts: This division feels truly unwatchable and is likely to produce a winner that reaches like 88 wins or something. I honestly have no faith in this prediction because the Cardinals pitching stinks. Man am I glad the Astros are out of that dump of a division.
NL EAST:
- Atlanta Braves
- New York Mets
- Washington Nationals
- Philadelphia Phillies
- Miami Marlins
NL East Thoughts: This division might actually be super competitive and not have a single really awful team. I think the Braves end up taking this division again, but it will be close.
NL WILD CARDS: San Diego Padres, New York Mets
POSTSEASON:
ALCS: White Sox beat Astros
NLCS: Padres beat Braves
WORLD SERIES: Padres beat White Sox
(I feel gross for not picking the Astros to win it all. Absolutely disgusted with myself right now. I suck.)
AL MVP: Alex Bregman
NL MVP: Corey Seager
AL CY YOUNG: Gerrit Cole
NL CY YOUNG: Jacob deGrom
So there they are...now let's sit back and enjoy me being wrong and the Astros winning it all again.
