Rockets Win First Summer League Game, 84-76 Over Cavs

The new youthful version of the Houston Rockets put on a show on Sunday afternoon from Las Vegas NBA Summer League as they defeated Evan Mobley and the Cleveland Cavaliers 84-76.

Second overall pick Jalen Green scored 23 points to go with five rebounds and two assists in his debut, on 9-for-18 shooting. His fellow first round picks also impressed as Alperen Sengun scored 15 points and dominated the boards with 15 rebounds, while Josh Christopher added 13 points with five rebounds and four assists.

KJ Martin had 17 points, while Khryi Thomas added 10 points with three assists. Cavs' Evan Mobley had 12 points and five rebounds in his Summer League debut.

The Rockets will be back in action on Tuesday night as they take on Cade Cunningham and the Detroit Pistons on ESPN at 8p CT.
