Jake Odorizzi spoke with the media ahead of Wednesday's Astros game, and revealed some good news regarding his injury.
Odorizzi said he, like many, feared a ruptured Achilles, but said the MRI he had showed only some strains and sprains on ligaments around the ankle. He is expected to return this season and called it the “best case scenario.” A timeline is unclear, but Odorizzi is off crutches.
