Texans sign Mason Schreck, cut Darrell Daniels

The Texans signed veteran tight end Mason Schreck and cut tight end Darrell Daniels.

Schreck has played in 23 career games with one start for the Cincinnati Bengals.

He's a former seventh-round draft pick from the University of Buffalo.

Schreck (6-foot-5, 252 pounds) is an Ohio native and a former high school quarterback.

He played in one game last season for the Bengals.

He was targeted for one pass in 2020, but dropped the football.

Daniels has played for the Arizona Cardinals, Seattle Seahawks and Indianapolis Colts.

Daniels, 27, has 13 career receptions for 122 yards and one touchdown.

Daniels (6-foot-3, 256 pounds) went undrafted out of the University of Washington.

A California native and a converted wide receiver, Daniels caught 47 passes for 728 yards and five touchdowns in college.

Daniels' lone NFL touchdown was in the 2020 season on a 21-yard catch against the Miami Dolphins.
