Veteran Crew-Chief Greg Ives announced that he will be stepping down as Crew-Chief at the end of the 2022 season. Ives got his start as a Crew Chief at Jr Motorsports calling races for Regan Smith and Chase Elliott as he would win an Xfinity Series title back in 2014. After the legendary Steve Letarte retired from the pit box to join the booth, Ives was promoted to the cup series to work with Dale Earnhardt Jr in 2015 and would remain with the team with Alex Bowman at the helm. It will be interesting to see where he goes and if he will remain under the Hendrick umbrella with a different role.
