Earlier this week, MLB writer Bob Nightengale reported that Astros Manager Dusty Baker and GM James Click had both received one-year contract offers for 2023. Dusty Baker acknowledged he would be back.
James Click is another story. While Click is in Las Vegas currently for the MLB GM Meetings, he acknowledged he currently does not have a contract, which expired on October 31st. He has not agreed to anything yet for next season. He did say he is "in discussions" regarding his future.
The Astros are expected to announce Dusty Baker's new contract at a press conference on Wednesday. Time will tell on James Click.
