Astros Set a Franchise Record.. and Not a Good One

The World Series Champs have struggled out of the gates this season, starting the season at 3-6, following two straight losses up in Minnesota vs the Twins. The Astros are accustomed to slow starts, as they have started slow the past few seasons.

But the Astros bats are what concern most fans, and they set a dubious record this weekend. From our buddy Brian McTaggart over at MLB.com, Astros hitters have struck out a combined 33 times in their last two game, which is a franchise record during a two-game span. The previous record was 31 strikeouts.

So while it's been a slow go out of the gates, let's hope the Astros bats start to hit their stride soon.
