On Monday, Astros Manager Dusty Baker who is managing the AL All-Star Team, announced he will go with Yankees ace Gerrit Cole as his Tuesday night starter in the MLB All-Star Game.
Baker said that Cole is "one of the best there is," and said he deserved to finally start an All-Star Game.
Baker said on Sunday he would not consider starting Astros ace Framber Valdez, saying he could not "risk Framber on two or three days rest for an exhibition game." Valdez started last Saturday night vs the Mariners.
