President Joe Biden welcomed the Houston Astros to the White House on Monday, celebrating their 2022 World Series Championship.
Owner Jim Crane and Manager Dusty Baker took the podium to celebrate their team. Crane thanked Astros fans and the city of Houston, while Baker singled out the team he gets to manage daily.
"We have the best fans in baseball," said Crane. "Fans pay the bills. I'm just a little conduit."
The visit worked out for the Astros as they had a day off between their series in New York, and their series beginning in Baltimore on Tuesday night.
