Astros Go Into Saturday Night Trailing Both Rangers & Mariners in AL West

The Houston Astros head into Saturday night’s game vs the Tigers in Detroit, looking up at both the Seattle Mariners and Texas Rangers.

While all three teams are tied in the win column with 72 wins each, the Astros have 58 losses while the other two have 56 losses.

So while Houston is just one game back of the lead in the AL West, you have to wonder where the team’s mindset is. They just got blown out by the Red Sox on Thursday, before blowing a 1-0 in the 9th inning against Detroit, with a collapse from closer Ryan Pressly. Houston has lost three in a row. Meanwhile, the Rangers have lost eight in a row, while Seattle is 9-1 in their last ten games.

The Astros will turn to Hunter Brown to get them back on the right track Saturday night on SportsTalk790.
