The Houston Astros have reinstated OF Michael Brantley from the 60-Day Injured List and optioned OF Corey Julks to Triple A Sugar Land.
To make room for Brantley on the 40-man roster, RHP Jake Cousins was designated for assignment. Brantley, a five-time All-Star, has not appeared in a game since June 26 of last season after undergoing right shoulder surgery.
Brantley is starting in left field Tuesday night, and batting 6th. Listen on SportsTalk790!
