Astros Look To Take ALCS Game 6 Tonight on SportsTalk790

Tune in to SportsTalk790 on Sunday as we get you ready for ALCS Game 6 between your Houston Astros and the Texas Rangers. Houston leads the series 3-2, and with a win would advance to their fifth World Series in the past seven seasons.

The A-Team with Adam Wexler and Adam Clanton get things started at 5p with our On Deck Show presented by Xfinity, as they will be joined along the way by Ross Villarreal and Dan Mathews. We'll hand things off to Robert Ford and Steve Sparks at 6:30p, with first pitch scheduled for 7:03p on SportsTalk790!

Sunday night's game will be a rematch of ALCS Game 2 with Framber Valdez taking on Nathan Eovaldi. Eovaldi is 3-0 this postseason with a 2.29 ERA, while Valdez is 0-2 with an 11.57 ERA.

Some game notes from the Astros ahead of ALCS Game 6:

The status of the roof of Minute Maid Park for game six will be announced on day-of-game. Gates and Street Fest will open at 4 p.m. CT on Sunday.

All fans in attendance will receive a Rally Towel, provided by Houston Methodist.

Our nation’s colors will be presented by the Houston Fire Department Color Guard, while Nashville recording artist and television host, native Houstonian Julia Cole will sing the National Anthem.

Highly decorated women’s basketball star Sheryl Swoopes, a native Texan and former Houston Comet, who’s accolades include Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame and Olympic Gold Medalist, will throw out a ceremonial first pitch.

The “Play Ball” call will be made by legendary Houston Texans star wide receiver Andre Johnson.
