According to a report from Brian McTaggart & Chandler Rome, the Houston Astros are signing switch-hitting catcher Victor Caratini. Caratini should backup Yainer Diaz who projects to be the every day catcher in 2024. That should end the tenure of Martin Maldonado in Houston.
