We knew this was coming as it was announced prior to the season, but it won't make it any less weird when the pro football team from Houston lines up to play on Sunday vs a team wearing the jerseys of the former pro football team from Houston. The Tennessee Titans will sport their Columbia Blue Houston Oiler throwbacks on Sunday as they host the Houston Texans.
They will also induct former Oilers legend Billy "White Shoes" Johnson into their Ring of Honor, although never played a snap for the franchise in Nashville, Tennessee.
This is all so weird, and if the Adams family had any respectability, they wouldn't continue to wear uniforms that represent the city of Houston. But alas, they do not.
