NFL Insider Adam Schefter Talks Texans QB, Playoff Chances, Hip Drop Tackle

ESPN senior NFL insider Adam Schefter joins Next Up with Stan Norfleet and Chris Gordy to talk about the Houston Texans quarterback situation.

C.J. Stroud is in concussion protocol, but Schefter is not sure who will lead the offense against the Tennessee Titans. "I'm not ready to rule [Stroud] out just yet," Schefter said. "It's a longshot," but "until it happens, I'm not giving up hope."

Backup quarterback Davis Mills will likely get the start if Stroud is out. "Davis Mills can get the job done if need be. I think he's a strong quarterback," Schefter said.

As the Texans head to Nashville, Schefter predicts that the Titans will be a tough matchup. "They're coming off their biggest win of their season."

Despite the loss against the Jets in week 14, Schefter still thinks highly of the Texans. "I believe they can win in the playoffs."

Schefter also comments on New England Patriots head coach Bill Belichick's future in the NFL and the controversial hip drop tackle, firmly stating, "that's going to be eliminated from the NFL."
