The Houston Cougars are looking forward to getting the Willie Fritz era underway for 2024, however they will be without one of their primary offensive pieces this spring. According to Joseph Duarte, Coogs QB Donovan Smith will be unavailable for spring practice after undergoing labrum surgery this offseason on his right shoulder.
The Coogs will hope to build off of Year 1 in the Big 12 last season where they went 4-8 and missed a bowl game.
