Astros pitcher Jose Urquidy is expected to begin the season on the injured list, dealing with a forearm muscle strain, according to manager Joe Espada.
Urquidy will join Justin Verlander beginning the season on the IL, joining fellow starters Luis Garcia and Lance McCullers Jr.
That means the Astros will need to lean heavily on their healthy starters Framber Valdez, Cristian Javier, Hunter Brown, and JP France, with Ronel Blanco and Brandon Bielak in the mix.
