Astros Send France To Sugar Land, Framber Expected to Return, Cabbage Added

From Brian McTaggart and Chandler Rome, the Astros are making a couple of roster adjustments before they head to Mexico City for a unique series vs the Colorado Rockies.

First, they are expected to option J.P. France to Triple-A Sugar Land, clearing a roster spot for Framber Valdez who is expected to return to the rotation this weekend.

In addition, the Astros will call up outfielder/first baseman Trey Cabbage to be their 27th man on the roster in the Mexico City series. The Astros can add one player for the two games, but it is required to a be a position player. With the first base struggles between Jose Abreu and Jon Singleton, it will be interesting to see if Joe Espada gives Cabbage a start at first to show what he can do.
