The NBA held their annual Draft Lottery on Sunday afternoon, and the Houston Rockets' own pick went to the Oklahoma City Thunder with the 12th overall pick, as part of the Russell Westbrook trade.
However, the Rockets owned the Brooklyn Nets pick as part of the James Harden trade, and that pick which was projected to be in the top 10, actually moved up into the top four, and the Rockets were awarded the 3rd overall pick in the 2024 NBA Draft.
