According to Chandler Rome of The Athletic, the Houston Astros are interested in starting pitcher Shane Baz. Baz spent the past four seasons pitching for the Tampa Bay Rays. Last season, he went 10-12 with a 4.87 ERA. In 2024, he made 14 starts with a 3.06 ERA. Baz is a Houston native, growing up on the north side where he attended Concordia Lutheran High School in Tomball.
