Source: Texans work out Paul Adams, four others

The Texans worked out offensive tackle Paul Adams and four other players Tuesday, according to a league source not authorized to speak publicly.

Adams was removed from the Tennessee Titans' injured reserve list with an injury settlement in August.

The Texans also worked out tight end Cole Hikutini, centers Brad Lundblade and Javon Patterson and defensive tackle Xavier Williams.

No players were immediately signed to a contract.

Hikutini has played for the San Francisco 49ers, Minnesota Vikings, Dallas Cowboys and New York Giants.

Lundblade has played for the Seattle Seahawks, Cincinnati Bengals, Carolina Panthers and New York Jets. He was cut from the Seahawks' practice squad last week.

Patterson is a former Indianapolis Colts seventh-round draft pick who has played for the Giants, Cleveland Browns and Denver Broncos.

Williams has played for the Arizona Cardinals, Kansas City Chiefs, New England Patriots and Cincinnati Bengals.
