Deer Park is the last local high school baseball team still standing, and it's no wonder the Deer have been so successful when you peruse a list of the area's top high school baseball recruits.
Led by the strong arm of starting pitcher Clay Aguilar, who has signed with the University of Houston, Deer Park will play in the Class 6A state semifinals at 4 p.m. Friday in Round Rock.
Once the state tournament is complete, the elite high school baseball players can turn their attention to the Major League Baseball draft.
