Astros starter Lance McCullers Jr. is available to pitch on full rest in Tuesday night's All-Star Game but said Monday he isn't sure whether he will get into the game.

"If they need me, I'll be ready," he said.

American League manager Brad Mills said McCullers' "ability to be able to throw a few innings for us is going to be key at the back end," which sounds like code for McCullers being preserved in the event the game requires extra innings. McCullers is one of 12 active pitchers on the AL roster."
