As of Sept. 5, Houston Texans player J.J. Watt has raised more than $19.7 million for Harvey relief and Sunday he spoke on what he plans to do with the money.
Watt told the press that he plans to take his time allocating the money. He is talking with various charities, including Team Rubicon, the St. Bernard Project and others who helped after Hurricane Katrina in New Orleans, before making any decisions. The 28-year-old athlete also plans to give the money to local charities in the Houston community to ensure that the funds get back to Bayou City residents.
