The Houston Astros open up a four game home series tonight against the Seattle Mariners with Justin Verlander taking the mound, looking to secure his 200th career win.
The club is fresh off road series wins against the Mariners, the Dodgers and a mini-sweep of the Giants. With a five-game lead over the second place Athletics and an eight-game lead over the third place Mariners, Houston can continue to separate themselves atop the AL West.
Verlander (11-6, 2.19 ERA) will pitch against Seattle for the first time this season. Career wise, he is 12-8 with a 3.01 ERA across 24 starts against the team.
The first pitch is scheduled for 7:10pm at Minute Maid Park.
