Bench Production Key in Rockets Win Over Blazers

The Houston Rockets defeated the Portland Trailblazers 111-103, Tuesday night at the Toyota Center.

Seven Rockets scored in double-figures with three coming off the bench. Danuel House Jr., Nene and Gerald Green combined for 35 points which played a huge part in a 24-6 run in the first half that cut a 15 point deficit. In the second half, the Rockets put together a 25-5 run which saw Green and House Jr. each scoring five points. Houston’s bench outscored the Blazers’, 37-13.

James Harden led the Houston starters with 29 points, Eric Gordon had 14 points, Clint Capela scored 13 points, and Chris Paul rounded out the seven players in double-figures with a triple-double of 11 points, 11 rebounds and 10 assists.

The Rockets will host the Los Angeles Lakers Thursday night at 7:00pm.
