Houston’s five-game winning streak was snapped Thursday night as the Rockets lost to the Miami Heat, 101-99.
James Harden scored 35 points with 12 assists in the loss to lead the team in scoring. Eric Gordon put up a would-be game winning 3-point try at the buzzer but it rimmed out to end the game. Gordon had 20 points.
Chris Paul left the game in the second quarter with a strained left hamstring. “It’ll be some time,” Coach D’Antoni said about Paul after the game. Paul will undergo an MRI on Friday. The Rockets are 1-7 this season without Paul.
Houston will host the San Antonio Spurs Saturday night from the Toyota Center. Tip-off is slated for 7:00pm.
