James Harden continued to play out of his mind against the Celtics Thursday night as he scored 45 points in a Rockets 127-113 victory. Harden has scored 30+ points in the last eight games with the last six of those having 35+ points. The win over Boston also marked back-to-back 40+ point games for the reigning MVP.
To go along with 45 points, Harden had six assists and went 9-18 from the three point line. Clint Capela continued his tear with 24 points and 18 rebounds. Eric Gordon had 20 points to mark the third time this season the Rockets have had three 20 point scorers.
Austin Rivers continues to add quality minutes and contributions as he added 10 points in 33 minutes off the bench. Gerald Green also added 10 points shooting 3-7 from behind the arc. Nene rounded out the bench with seven points for Houston.
The Rockets have won eight out of their last nine and will travel to New Orleans to take on the Pelicans Saturday night at 6:00pm CT.
