Defense Tightens Up, Rockets Take Down Jazz 125-98

The Houston Rockets got back on the winning track by beating the Utah Jazz 125-98 Saturday night.

After giving up 136 points a night before to the Nuggets, the Rockets adjusted their defense and didn’t allow the Jazz to score over 100 points and forced 26 turnovers.

James Harden recorded 43 points for a 26th consecutive time with 30 or more points. 26 straight games is the third longest streak in NBA history behind only Wilt Chamberlain. Chamberlain has streaks of 65 and 31. Harden also had 12 rebounds, six steals, five assists and four blocks.

Gerald Green had 25 points off the bench and Kenneth Faried scored 16 with 12 rebounds. Austin Rivers also came off the bench with 16 points.

Houston travels to Phoenix to take on the Suns Monday night at 8:00pm CT.
