Stassi and Kemp Have Multi-Hit Games In Tie Against Cardinals

The Houston Astros tied the St. Louis Cardinals 4-4 Friday afternoon to continue Grapefruit League play.

Max Stassi started behind the plate and drove in two runs while going 2-3 to lead the Astros offensively. Tony Kemp also went 2-3 in his action in centerfield. Carlos Correa and AJ Reed each had an RBI.

The battle for the 5th starter continued with Framber Valdez getting the nod on the bump. Valdez had a rough outing giving up two earned runs, two walks and three hits in 1.1 IP. Only 25 of his 48 pitches were strikes while only recording four outs.

Houston will be back in action Saturday afternoon against the New York Mets. Alex Bregman and Jose Altuve are both scheduled to make their Spring Training debuts. First pitch is slated for 12:10pm CT and you can catch every inning on SportsTalk790.
