40 Point Second Quarter Propels Rockets to Big Win Over Nuggets

The Houston Rockets went off for 40 points in the second quarter of Thursday night's game to help defeat the Denver Nuggets, 112-85.

James Harden scored 38 points, six rebounds and six assists. Clint Capela had another double-double with 17 points and 15 rebounds. Eric Gordon knocked down four 3-pointers to add 18 points in the win. Austin Rivers came off the bench to score 15 points in 29 minutes of play.

Houston has now won three out of their last four games and improve their season record to 48-28.

The Rockets will host the Sacramento Kings Saturday night at Toyota Center with tip-off scheduled for 5:00pm.
