Michael Brantley, George Springer and Robinson Chirinos all hit homeruns in a 6-0 Astros win over the Athletics Saturday night from Minute Maid Park.
Springer and Brantley both went 2-4 with two RBI. Alex Bregman went 2-4 and Yuli Gurriel was 3-4 with three doubles and an RBI in the win. Chirinos knocked in the sixth Astro run with his solo blast in the sixth inning.
Wade Miley got the win on the mound for Houston. Miley was efficient tossing 5.2 IP, 4 H, 0 R, 2 BB and 4 K. He improves to 1-1 on the season. Will Harris replaced Miley and struck out the only batter he faced to get out of the fifth inning. Josh James, Chris Devenski and Framber Valdez all threw scoreless innings out of the bullpen.
The Astros will look for the sweep of the A's tomorrow afternoon with Brad Peacock taking the hill. First-pitch is slated for 1:10pm.
