While you were asleep, the Astros took down the Mariners Friday night with help from Jose Altuve and Yuli Gurriel who both hit grand slams.
In the 10-6 win, Houston pounded out 16 hits. 8 of the 9 starters had at least one hit.
George Springer also hit a homerun in the victory going 2-5 with two RBI. Carlos Correa was 2-3 with two BB as Jake Marisnick continues to swing it well going 2-5 on the night.
Wade Miley battled through 4.0 IP, allowing three runs on six hits. Brad Peacock got the win after replacing Miley throwing 3.1IP, 1 H, 2 R, 1 ER and 7 K. Roberto Osuna earned his 5th save of the season.
The Astros have now won seven straight games and improve to 9-5 on the year.
Justin Verlander will take the mound in tonight’s game against the Mariners’ Felix Hernandez. First pitch is scheduled for 8:10pm CT.
