Springer, Reddick and Bregman Hit Bombs as Astros Win 10th Straight

The Houston Astros took down the Oakland Athletics 9-1 Tuesday night, behind three homers from George Springer, Josh Reddick and Alex Bregman. Houston has now won 10 straight games.

Springer led off the game with a solo blast to left and an inning later, Reddick hit a two run shot to extend the Astros lead to 3-0. Two innings later, Bregman stepped in with bases loaded and hit a towering grand slam to blow it wide open, 8-0. Springer would also have another RBI in the same inning. Robinson Chirinos hit a sac fly later in the 7th inning to push the score to 9-0. In total, the Astros had nine hits on the night.

Collin McHugh won his third straight start with the victory over the A’s. He threw 6.0 IP allowing only two hits, two walks and struck out five. He’s now 3-1 on the season.

Houston will continue their series against Oakland as Wade Miley takes the mound for the Astros. First pitch will be tonight at 9:07pm CT.
