Astros Hit Four Bombs, Extend Win Streak to Six Games by Beating Tigers 8-1

The Astros continue their home run ways by taking down the Tigers 8-1 Monday night to extend their winning streak to six games. Houston hit four homers in the victory.

Aledmys Diaz, Robinson Chirinos, Jake Marisnick and Alex Bregman all went yard for the Astros on a night where the team had 11 hits. George Springer continued to stay hot with two more hits in five at-bats, while also recording an RBI. Michael Brantley also had two hits in the game.

Brad Peacock earned his fourth win of the season, throwing five innings, allowing one run on three hits. Peacock struck out three and walked four. He improves to 4-2 on the season. Ryan Pressly extended his franchise record of scoreless innings to 36 consecutive innings.

Wade Miley will be on the mound for Houston in game two of the series, looking for his fourth win of the season. First pitch is scheduled for 6:10pm CT.
