Springer and Bregman Both Hit Homers as Astros Beat Angels 6-2

George Springer and Alex Bregman both his home runs Thursday night to propel the Astros over the Angels, 6-2.

Springer's 22nd homer of the season came in the 3rd inning followed by Bregman's 25th of the season in the top of the 6th. The duo each had two hits in the win with four runs scored. Yordan Alvarez had two hits and two RBI in the win.

Wade Miley earned his 8th win of the season. Miley pitched 5.1 innings, allowing just one run on three hits. He walked two, struck out three and improved to a lifetime record of 4-0 against the Angels.

Houston will return home Friday to open up a six game home stand. Justin Verlander will get the start in game one of a three game series against the Rangers. First pitch is scheduled for 7:10pm CT.
