Alvarez's Pinch-Hit Home Run Helps Astros Beat Royals

Yordan Alvarez hit a pinch-hit three run home run Saturday night, to help secure a 6-1 win over the Royals. Alvarez's homer came on the first pinch-hit of his career with Houston leading, 2-1.

Zack Greinke earned his 16th win of the season by giving up one run in six innings. He struck out seven and did not give up a walk in the win. Hector Rondon, Joe Smith, Bryan Abreu and Will Harris anchored the bullpen and tossed three scoreless innings to finish off the Royals.

Kyle Tucker led the offense with a 4-4 performance and an RBI. Michael Brantley had two hits and Alex Bregman smacked his 36th home run of the season.

Houston goes for the series sweep Sunday afternoon with Wade Miley taking the hill.
