Reddick Goes For 5 Hits, Miley Bounces Back as Astros Sweep Royals

Josh Reddick went 5-5 with a two run homer to lead the Astros in a 12-3 victory Sunday afternoon from Kansas City. With the win, Houston completed a series sweep over the Royals.

Both Reddick and Abraham Toro had three RBIs each in a game where the Astros had 16 hits as a team. Toro, Aledmys Diaz and Yuli Gurriel each had two hits. Reddick, Kyle Tucker and Gurriel all left the yard for Houston.

Wade Miley bounced back from two brutal starts in which he did not escape the first inning. Miley pitched six strong innings, giving up two runs on seven hits. He struck out four while walking two and improved to 14-5 on the season.

The Astros have a day off on Monday and will be back in action from Minute Maid Park Tuesday night when the Rangers come to town. Justin Verlander will take the mound in game one of the series.
