The Texans have signed former Cleveland Browns and Tennessee Titans wide receiver Taywan Taylor to a one-year veteran minimum contract, according to a league source not authorized to speak publicly.
Taylor, 26, is a former Titans third-round draft pick from Western Kentucky.
He has caught 53 career passes for 697 yards and two touchdowns in 32 career games with 10 starts. He was placed on injured reserve last season with the Browns due to a neck injury.
He played in three games with one start and had three kickoff returns for 53 yards and a 17.7 average.
The 5-foot-11, 205-pound Kentucky native caught 253 passes for 4,234 yards and 41 touchdowns in college.
Taylor has run the 40-yard dash in 4.50 seconds.
