The Texans are scheduled to work out former Chicago Bears third-round draft pick Hroniss Grasu.
Grasu, 29, is a center from Oregon who has started 16 of 27 career games played, but has battled injuries.
A former All-Pac-12 and All-American selection, Grasu (6-foot-3, 303 pounds has run the 40-yard dash in 5.03 seconds.
He was cut by the Bears in 2018 after being drafted in 2016.
Grasu has also played for the Baltimore Ravens, Tennessee Titans and San Francisco 49ers.
Signed by the 49ers to their practice squad and elevated to the active roster, Grasu was placed on the reserve-COVID-19 list twice and activated twice.
